Laconic
Great Poets know it.
With minimal words
its voice is heard,
as time flies
between the lines,
plips and plops,
goes then stops
to soothe bad news
and move the muse.
So, if you need it,
run to read it.
Let it get inside
where word play rhymes,
take little time
to seek and hide,
bounce around,
echo sound,
to feed the flow,
and let words grow
to gently dance
and stir romance,
to touch the mind
of all mankind.
So, waste no time
to laconically rhyme.
